I haven't blogged much about our fundraisers since we had that referral "scare" in December...you know when we were number 2, and we thought it was going to happen ANY DAY! HA! Should've known better;)!
BUT, we ARE number 2 now(and perhaps number 1 for a boy;)), and we ARE anticipating a referral "SOON", so it's back to getting the word out about our financial need.
What stinks about getting a referral in April is traveling in JUNE!! The price of airline tickets is AT LEAST $500 HIGHER PER PERSON than in the spring!! C.R.A.Z.Y!!!!! So, our little outline of fees on the left sidebar is going UP! Plus, we have the last of the country fees due and the visa fee due on the FIRST trip. We have about $3500 saved for the first trip so far, but we need to raise the rest.....
SO, here we are....asking you to pray, and if led by the Spirit, to give.
We have THREE fundraisers going on, Olive Tree Promise, Just Love Coffee, and Ordinary Hero...all can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate links on the sidebars of this blog. Also, you can give monetary gifts by clicking the Chip-In button on the upper right if you wish.
In the meantime, we will be working our buns off to sell, sell, sell anything we can!!!;) SO CLOSE NOW!!:)
SO EXCITED to meet our new little treasure, and trusting the Lord to do what ONLY He can in all the details!:)
THANK YOU!!!:)
"He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and He shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing." Deuteronomy 10:18
WELCOME!
We are so excited to share our Ethiopian adoption adventure, and our CRAZY lives with all of you! Our hope is that it will encourage you to step out in faith to do what God has called you to do! There are FIELDS of fatherless children waiting for someone to care for them, to love them, to tell them of JESUS' love for them...will YOU be the one??

Impact Zambia 100!! Join Us!!
Join us to IMPACT lives in Zambia...
"Hi. My name is Richard. I am in grade 7. I stay with my sister, Josephine. I have three brothers and two sisters. My other sister attends Lifesong and is in grade 5. Her name is Emelia. My mother stays in a village far away. My father died in 2006. Thank you for supporting me and may God bless you and add more days to your life. My favorite subject is art."
Richard is just ONE of the 253 students that we are blessed to serve at Lifesong Zambia. He is also one of the students that will be moving on to grade 8 this fall.
Without the construction of new classrooms, Richard may join the 95% of Zambian children that are not able to attend High School.
Will you join us in impacting the lives of children like Richard?
To add to the excitement--thanks to a generous donor, all donations will be matched up to $225,000!!

A Very Boring Update
Well, once again, I've been a bad, bad blogger;).
There's just not much to say...
We're still moving forward on the adoption list...
I'm still losing weight.....no side effects from meds! Praise GOD!
Homeschooling still plugging along....but it's been really nice weather here, and well....I'm ready to end the school year:)!
Ava's final post-placement visit is tomorrow, and she is going for Kindergarten screening next week...we'll see how that goes;)!
Soooo, since there's not much going on in my world, I want to share a very special video with you...challenging you to see special needs as a gift, not a burden...through the eyes of a child, no less! ENJOY!:)
And if you want to know more about this particular country's adoption program, I can hook you up;)!
